My overall experience being in the Judson independent school district has been very eventful. Over the years, the school district has had many changes, that have both elevated and halted the process of the district. The best part of my experiences has definitely been the amazing people I was surrounded with. I was able to meet friends that i hope to keep for a lifetime due to the school. Unfortunately, there were also some very negative times in my experience. Due to the teacher shortage of all of the US, the teaching at JudsonISD was lackluster. The classes were overfilled and felt very rushed. I definitely feel like i could have gotten a better learning experience if the class were smaller. I would love to see more changes in the teacher's attitude to their students.

I have attended 2 schools within JISD since 2018, one being Judson Middle School, and the other Judson High School. The reputation that the district has developed in its schools can be described as unreliable and an unsafe environment, which is true, but JISD is highly-spirited and is successful in extracurriculars/sports. All 3 JISD High School campuses each offer their own career pathways, practicums, and endorsements which is a huge benefit to students, as well as their school of choice option.

The best part about being a student in the Judson isd district is that the school that I attend has plenty support in order to help their students succeed. In comparison to other schools, Judson Early College Academy’s counselors and teachers are involved with their students in many ways and make sure that they are in the right path so that they will achieve many great things in the future. Judson isd is a wonderful district that has provided my peers and I with the opportunity of attending college while being a high schooler at the same time. Although there are many wonderful things to say about this district, I must admit that the worst part of it is the amount of people at schools like Judson High School and Wagner High School who do not graduate. The lack of their counselor’s support and involvement is what I believe to be a big part of that cause. I love my school, but I wish other schools in the same district had the same opportunities as I do.
